Wolverine vs. Spider-Man Part 2

Spider-Man

In Part 1, I covered Wolverine’s physical attributes, his advantages, and why he could win this fight. In Part 2, I will cover Spider-Man’s side of the argument and why HE could win this fight.

Spider-Man has the proportionate strength, speed, agility, durability, etc. of a spider as well as other powers such as his spider sense that allow him to easily win this fight.

First to cover is his strength. He has been listed to have a range of 10 to 20 ton strength and has proven it many times in combat and when saving people. Spidey has lifted buses, train cars, helicopters, has flicked giant train cars with his fingers (and tipped them over), has lifted giant gold statues, and has lifted a giant metal structure off of his back. He’s also thrown Wolverine through an unbreakable window, has busted up Iron Man’s armor, and has tossed Thing (from the Fantastic Four) off of a building with ease.

Now to cover his speed: Spider-Man has easily dodged bullets (machine gun and sniper), has saved a man from a van crashing mid-air into a wall, has tagged speedsters such as Quicksilver, has dodged multiple lasers from close range, has dodged lightning from Electro, and has been described as 40x faster than humans while beating down Hulk.

To compound on his speed, he has the spider sense: a sense that alerts him to danger. Spider-Man has used the spider sense to move literally faster than thought, to dodge attacks he can’t see, to react instantly to touch, and to even navigate a room.

Outside of his powers, Spider-Man also has his synthetic webs that he personally designed and created from web shooters. Spider-Man’s webs have been used to KO lizard (spraying them in his mouth), to completely wrap up Iron Man until the point that he couldn’t move, has webbed up debris in the space of a heartbeat, and has webbed an entire ground before a helicopter could fall from the sky. These webs have tensile strength that is greater than steel and have constricted and incapacitated many powerful foes.

And finally, a good argument for Spidey winning against Wolverine is….his actual fights against Wolverine. Spidey has beaten entire X-Men teams (that included Wolverine), he’s thrown Wolverine through an unbreakable window before he could react, he’s been stated to be able to kill Wolverine should he want to (by Wolverine himself), he’s webbed Wolverine’s hands to his heads (incapacitating him and leaving him nearly unable to use his claws), and recently Superior Spider-Man has easily beat down Wolverine in seconds.

So overall, Spider-Man is faster, stronger, has the spider-sense, webs that can incapacitate Wolverine, and has beaten him many times in the past.
Stay tuned for Part 3: The Winner
