RIP Ultimate Warrior

This is a tribute to a legend, to one of the GOATs (Greatest Of All Time), to the man and the character, Ultimate Warrior.

Ultimate Warrior was a wrestler who personified charisma and had a presence that just let you know he was a big deal. His mic skills were superb, and his promos were engaging, entertaining, and eccentric. From his wild metaphors, to his great energy, to the inflections in his voice, he was always fun to listen to.

His fast paced matches were also very entertaining, and the way he seemed like an invincible super hero after no-selling certain moves and finishers, only helped. Add on his great strength and the hype and energy he brought to matches, and there were few who put on a more entertaining show.

He had legendary moments, beating Hulk Hogan one on one at Wrestlemania and becoming the first man to hold both the WWE and the Intercontinental championship at the same time, beating Macho King (AKA Macho Man Randy Savage) at Wrestlemania after taking punishing elbow after punishing elbow, lifting Andre the Giant and defeating him, and of course ending Honky Tonk Man’s record breaking Intercontinental championship reign.

He came and went a few times, and each time he was just as entertaining.

Thank you Ultimate Warrior for your great work, and Rest in Peace.
